Check valves allows fluid to flow trough it in just one direction. They are two-port valves, one for fluid to enter, and the other for fluid to leave. They can be used in a wide variety of applications. Check valves are specifically constructed for a specific cracking pressure: the minimum upstream pressure at which the valve will operate.

Babcock Valves’ check valves are design in order to present the minimum resistance to flow in the desired flowing direction, and infinite resistance to flow -zero leakage- in the reversing direction, with the highest reliability and the lower maintenance.

Our check valves are typically constructed from cast iron, ductile iron, cast carbon steel, gun metal, stainless steel, alloy steels, and forged steels, under our customer requirements. They are served in a wide range of different designs, that vary from bolted bonnet to pressure seal bonnet, that can be made with threaded in or welded seat. Different disc configurations (swing check, tilting disc, horizontal lift, angle lift, Y-lift…) can be supplied.
